Hi, I'm Nat!
Welcome to my blog!

I’ve been teaching primary French Immersion for 12 years, and I love to work as a team; this is probably because it’s all I’ve ever known!

In my first year of teaching Grade 1, I was lucky enough to have the most amazing mentor. 

She introduced me to the benefits of team-based planning and collaborating, strategies that I continue to use to this day.

That same year, there were six of us teaching Grade 1; we were all different ages, had different backgrounds, and different teaching styles. 

We came together once a week to divide the workload with the end goal of “working smarter, not harder”. 

The following year, I moved schools to pursue a new opportunity. I took everything I learned about team-based planning with me and introduced this concept to my new team. 

Even though my Grade 1 team has changed many times over the years, I’ve continued to use this collaborative approach to planning. 

Why am I sharing this?
Because I hope this will inspire you to work more closely with your grade-like teaching partners. I also hope that my resources will help you to work smarter and not harder. I love to collaborate and help teachers lessen their workload so they can have more time doing things they love such as spending more time with their families, exercising, and simply having a life outside of the classroom.
